Who is Ironau?

Ahoy! I am Ironau, pronounced iron (as in the metal) and ow (as in the sound you make when you stub your toe), a 19-year-old musician from the United States. I make all sorts of music about my experiences in life and the things I witness in the world. I am fully self-taught and my music is bound to be prone to imperfection. It is my journal of exploration and growth both as an artist and as a person. If you enjoy what I do, feel free to tune in.
Cheers!

Why does Ironau not release to Spotify anymore?I am sure you have read online about the evils of Spotify but I will make my statement here. Spotify continues to invest in advanced AI military technology used to cause mass violence and fear. Spotify feeds artists' music to generative AI and then platforms those "artists" above real, human art because they don't have to pay to "artists" that don't exist.I refuse to contribute my art to this company to have it be exploited and have those exploits be used for unnecessary killings and violence. I understand that a vast majority of music listeners use Spotify and being as small of an artist as I am, I am losing roughly 80% of engagement when I already barely had any to begin with, I do not care.To my audience who streams on Spotify, I highly encourage you to switch streaming services. You are being exploited by a company who continues to upcharge your subscription for lackluster features and audio quality. Platforms like Qobuz or Tidal offer higher quality streaming and are CHEAPER. Why are you paying the most for the least? If you cannot or will not make that switch, I encourage you to stream me on YouTube or to pirate my music. If you can show my art to others, that is more than enough payment for me.Thank you.
